More Slow Moments, Please

What do you wish you could do more every day?

More Slow Moments, Please.

It’s been a while since I last blogged—life’s been a bit of a whirlwind lately. I’ve just started my new job, so I’m still adjusting to a new routine, new faces, and a whole new rhythm of life here in Korea.

Today, while I was sitting on the subway on my way to pick up my health check results to hand in at work (because nothing says “settling in” like a trip to the clinic), I came across a writing prompt:

“What do you wish you could do more every day?”

And something about it just hit me. It felt soft, honest, and exactly the little nudge I needed to write again. So here I am, typing this out during a rare pocket of calm in the middle of a busy day.

Honestly? I wish I had more energy. Like, actual energy—not the kind that gets me through the day on caffeine and vibes, but the kind where I feel awake and present. I wish I had more time, too—not to do more, but to slow down. To breathe. To notice the day instead of just getting through it.

Some days I manage it. I’ll have a slow morning where the sunlight feels nice, or a quiet moment that actually sticks with me. But other days? Chaos. Confidence disappears, consistency takes a holiday, and I’m suddenly asking myself if eating toast three times counts as a meal plan (it doesn’t, but I’m trying).

And that’s the heart of it, really. I want more slow moments. More calm. More days where I feel like I’m living, not rushing. More confidence in who I am. More consistency—not in a strict, perfect way, but in a gentle “I showed up for myself today” way.

So if you’re feeling the same, hi—let’s sit in this moment together for a sec. Let’s be kind to ourselves, even when we drop the ball (again), and let’s keep finding joy in the quiet little things.

Thanks for reading this ramble—I forgot how good it feels to write like this. Maybe I’ll do it again soon. Or maybe I’ll just keep collecting moments on the subway. Either way, I’m glad I paused to write this one. Now, tell me—what do you wish you could do more every day?
